20 years of Bristol’s Long John Silver Trust
Formed in 2003 after Bristol’s first Great Reading Adventure brought Treasure Island to life across the city, the Long John Silver Trust has spent two decades championing Bristol’s literary and maritime heritage. From commissioning artwork and publishing books to creating the Treasure Island Trail and joining the European Cultural Route “In the Footsteps of Robert Louis Stevenson,” the Trust has worked tirelessly to keep Stevenson’s legacy alive. Today, we celebrate not only the story that inspired us but also the vibrant community that continues to support our mission.
